    please excuse the obvious questions but i opened the openVPN download site and it offers many different types (redhat, cenTOS, ubuntu etc.) which one should I select

    What Operating System do you use?

    If you use a version of Windows simply click where it says "Windows download".
  • Hi Knarf,

    I uninstalled and re-installed - it works fine now, but for sure it has slowed the connection down.
    The two reasons for using it are to watch TV while abroad through the TVproxy.co.uk website and also for facebook.

    Last night I watched Dragons Den on BBC via this and it was quite painful to have 10 seconds of speech & a ten second break to reload the page.
    I set the LAN in the internet options to the UAE.PAC and also run the hotspot shield, even with this one of the only two providers here would not allow it to run.

    I was reading somewhere that they recommend hooking up the network cable ratherthan wi-fi because of stability problems
