Am I being unreasonable

Same happened last year (or the year before), trainers from a sports shop the strap snapped off after 2 weeks. I went back, was given a load of crap by the manager who basically said 'what do you expect from kids shoes ha ha ha?'. I expect them to last more than 2 weeks.

Called my local trading standards from outside who called the store, went back in 10mins later and the manager 'reluctantly' agreed to refund me. The whole time going on about how he was doing me such a HUGE favour etc. I told him 'no you're not doing me a favour, you're saving yourself a bollocking when head office asks why they have had to pay out a refund and the legal costs of a claim from the small claims court'. Was pleased as punch too, a huge queue had formed behind me

Just a quick update - I've just got off the phone with a store manager at my local BHS. She has received my letter and I can take my shoes back for a refund or a replacement, whichever I prefer. I've got to give her name and say it's been authorised by her. (Probably a refund - they've soured me a bit after this)
