Blackberry sim-only offers/deals/plans

Hi all,

I am currently on Vodafone with a Blackberry phone supplied by them and a great Blackberry price plan. The offer price and minimum term contract with them ends in a couple of months.

I am entirely happy with the phone and want to reduce my line rental to as low cost as possible. Around 300-600 minutes, unlimited (something like 3000 or so) texts and enough Blackberry email/Internet access is all I need.

The best I seem to have found is direct from o2 with their Simplicity Blackberry sim-card plans.

Vodafone upgrades don't even want to match what o2 can offer me.

The other networks don't really offer specific Blackberry sim card deals which then makes them more expensive as they want me to pay extra for the Blackberry services.

Any other ideas guys?

Take the 12 Month Blackberry Sim only contract from o2 @ £10 per month, and you can claim £50 cashback via quidco, so it works out around £5.83 a month, your not going to get it cheaper than that.

Seconded. It's an astonishing deal. Been on for a few days already so I'd reccomend ordering asap.

    Thanks all.

I ended up accepting an upgrade from Vodafone - will sell the phone on ebay which will make my contract term (12 months from now) completely free!

    I am pleased
  • I was about to switch to o2's simplicity deal today and was told that as of the 27th of July 2010, they'll be charging an additional £7.50 pm for Blackberry data.

I am not a happy bunny, having been an o2 customer for over eight years, they could offer me nothing worth taking in either an upgrade or in keeping my current Blackberry handset.

£17.50 a month for a deal with no handset included, when I only use, on average, 87mins and 135 texts a month!

I would recommend getting the £15pm blackberry 12mnths. With the £100 cashback over the same term you'll be paying an extra £10 difference and getting double the minutes (600 mins) when compared to the £10pm deal with £50 cashback. I'm considering getting this myself. :)

The price increase only affect customers on the 1 month rolling contract. This would not affect the 12mth simplicity plans, so I would still grab £15pm + £100 cashback while its still hot. If it did affect the 12mth plans also, there would be hundreds of unhappy customers who took up the offer when the reduction was promoted last month for a limited time. I wouldn't worry about it if you're happy to commit to 12mths.
