Dog hair and car seats!

I used to have Halfords super strong covers (expensive and a hideous green but worth every penny) and then cover with charity shop blankets which you can wash and throw away. One of our local shop has a bin with 'dog blankets'-too worn and shabby for humans. A washing powder with a fabric freshener allergies0

I had a very hairy dog and a Ford Ka (now have a nice big estate car so he is resigned to the boot!). I found he was in the car 2-3 times a day and I rarely had passengers in the back - so (although this might appaul some people) I just let him go on the seats and kept covers in the boot that I put on (over the muck) when I had passengers so they didn't get mucky. If anyone was going to be in the car for any length of time this was usually planned so I could get the hoover out! Everything else I tried was loads of effort and nothing kept the seats underneath properly clean anyway...0
