I empathise with OP. To be honest paypal sucks big time.
With the amount of complaints/issues one can find online about paypal, i really wonder why ombudsman or the relevant regulatory body hasnt called them to order.
Perhaps people need to get together to sign a petition

What you mean the website/forum run by one of paypals US competitors. ?;) Full of people who never read the T&Cs and got ripped of due to their own stupidity and are now looking for someone else to blame?

Why not threaten Paypal with court action?. Or try contacting BBC TVs 'Watchdog', they seem to be able to perform miracles where Ebay/Paypal are concerned. Also, try the national press, they may be interested in running a piece about Paypal's attitude towards ID theft.

Ebay/Paypal do seem to act extremely quickly when hammered by consumers TV shows & national media. Go on, you have nothing to loose.

BTW, as for a second account, can I assume you have a middle name they don't know about yet?. The way I set up 2 accounts was to have one using my first name, and the other using my middle-name (and by adding a 'B' after the house number in my address). Both Ebay and Paypal think I'm 2 separate people.
