Call them and ask to be removed from their mailing list and then if they still keep sending you mail start thinking about the more creative ideas if you don't have anything else to worry about.

I know someone who kept receiving advertising from some company, who wouldn't stop. One day a piece of advertising came with a pre-paid envelope. He decided to take a brick (quite a heavy one, think it was a breeze block), put it in a cardboard box and attached the postage paid envelope to the box. Took it to the Post Office, who accepted it. Presumably they had to pay for the delivery (which we worked out to be at least £7) and disposal of this brick.
Nice one, that I must try.

I'm not upset, just want to give the company a taste of their own medicine while costing them money:D

I'll admit that I once sent someone's rubbish back to them.

We used to live about 50 yards away from a Post Office (about the distance it takes to scratch off a scratch card while walking along while talking on your mobile accompanied by your Staffordshire Bull Terrier) and a woman sauntered past my house and just dropped a whole load of junk mail and a couple of torn up losing scratch cards outside my street door.

I went out, collected it all up, found her name and address from the junk mail, put it into a large envelope and mailed it back to her. Without a stamp.

I would love to have seen her face when she opened it.

The thing is these companies do this because some people probably do look at the leaflets and think 'ooohh such and such is on next month let's go see him/her' so there marketing tactic would of paid off.
Ok so you don't like it - so bin it - but someone else might appreciate it.

How did you find out about the origianl show you went to see? Was it advertised?

When you book by phone, they put you on their mailing list. Just phone them up, and ask them to remove you, and you will no longer get any "junk" mail.

When I go and see something at theatre, personally I don't mind them sending me a letter every now and then saying what's on. I quite enjoy the theatre.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • I do that every time. They never usually send it again, unless its from a huge company.

I'm still 'returning to sender' post for a guy who lived in our flat more than a year ago, he must have joined every mailing list known to man. I get at least 3 bits of junk mail addressed to him PER DAY!!!! grrrrrrrrr!!!
It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'
