Hi
I went to see a show which was really good. A talk about a guy who cycled the world
I originally booked the tickets on the telephone and had them post to me. £15 in total for one ticket:eek:
Anyway a month after seeing the show I receive post telling me about shows the theatre is doing for the next couple of months:mad: I’m NOT interested nor did I consent to them to send me information about future shows.
So I've taped over my address and written return to sender:D
Will this plan work, will the company stop posting me future promotional material and how much will it cost them(Got TNT on it)?
Anyone else done this sort of thing before?
:rotfl:

Give it a try and see what happens, if it happens again do teh same again or write addressee not at this address, ive done it and ive found it works, it takes time for it to have an affect though0

Or call them and ask to be removed from their mailing list. Would seem to be a lot simpler solution. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

Personally, I find it a lot less stressful to simply place the offending items into the bin.
Apart from the longer term wear and tear on my letterbox, I have yet to find any real reason to get too upset about an unwanted piece of paper. All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -
I'm not upset, just want to give the company a taste of their own medicine while costing them money:D
Only need to put it in the box when I walk past it and hopefully not get their spam again"No likey no need to hit thanks button!":pHowever its always nice to be thanked if you feel mine and other people's posts here offer great advice:D So hit the button if you likey:rotfl:0 -

What I tend to do is save all the unwanted post up and once a month ensure my details are removed and put it all in an envelope and send it to one of these advertisers if they have provided a prepaid I use that if not I dont put a stamp on. So each month one lucky company gets the junk from the rest.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0

So you are whinging that you are charged so much for the ticket, and then try and find ways to cost the Theatre money.
Maybe !!!!!! things like that are the reason you are charged so much in the first place?0 -
I know someone who kept receiving advertising from some company, who wouldn't stop. One day a piece of advertising came with a pre-paid envelope. He decided to take a brick (quite a heavy one, think it was a breeze block), put it in a cardboard box and attached the postage paid envelope to the box. Took it to the Post Office, who accepted it. Presumably they had to pay for the delivery (which we worked out to be at least £7) and disposal of this brick.0

I wouldn't really get upset about a little piece of paper coming through the post. You have the option to throw it in the bin.
I used to get a lot of junk mail from credit card providers etc and anything with a prepaid envelope I would put loads of stuff from my recycling box and send it back to them, so they would get takeaway menus and allsorts. Don't really get anything now, as I'm registered with the MPS.
What I DO get upset about though is unsolicited phone calls.
Just return the thing to sender and be done with it. It's not like they've done anything wrong. Why would you want revenge on them?Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £16,797.770
