Reclaiming PPI - Charterhouse Claims

Hello
Has anyone used these to claim back PPI? I have two loans that I paid PPI on and want to claim it back, one with LTSB and one with HFC, but I am now in arrears with both of the loans and paying both of them back on reduced amounts. Does anyone know if they will still look at my case due to this? I would do it myself but don't feel like I have the time or inclination.
Regards
Sam

they will still look into your complaints and definately write to your lengers direct,
if you need any help or advice just pop a post on this site
if you are succesful with your claim the refund will go against your arrears.
if you use a claims company they will still expect approx 25% of what is taken off your arrears and will expect you to pay this to them direct.
if you do it all yourself, you will have your arrears reduced and not have to pay anyone for it.
good luck and let us know how you get onI'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -

Hello there Sam
I agree with Robbedofmymoney
Give it a go yourself, and you get to keep all your PPI refund etc, where claims companies will make sure they get their share of it, the way I see it you have already been deprived (for the reasons you have for being mis sold) and you don't want to lose any more of your money that is rightfully all yours.
Follow the guidelines of reclaiming on link here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
Complete the Questionnaire as shown on Stage one further on down the page on the above link, its actually a FOS questionnaire, instead of using template letters, keep copies once completed, they have 8 weeks in full to respond.
Do also post up for any help anytime.
Good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Ok, I've sent an email to HFC bank which is one of my creditors I know I had PPI with. If I don't hear anything back from the email, I will write to them. I think I had PPI with Lloyds TSB as well although I am not sure, how would I find this out.
Thanks for your help, SamEveryone I know wants to be a millionaire.

Hi Sam
You can contact the insurance dept and they should be able to check this for you, or write and request for a copy of the loan agreement, if you cannot find the account number for this, check banking statements, which should show the account number next to the monthly repayments, you will then write the account number down on a simple letter to request for a copy of the credit agreement.
Enclose £1 cheque or postal order payment and request they supply by 12 days.
If you cannot find the loan account number, then just give them as many details as you can, like year loan taken out, amount, your date of birth and so on.;)
Good luck with your reclaims and ask for further help if required.

Hello Di
They replied to my email and gave me a phone no. to ring them. I didn't have an account no. and my account was in a previous address, so I told them all this and they found my account details. Apparently I have had four accounts with them (I couldn't remember that!) and paid PPI on two of them. I have asked for my details to be sent to me and the man said they would be sent within 21 days, so I'll let you know what happens. Do you know how I'd find out whether I had PPI with Lloyds TSB?

Hi Sam
I would call the insurance dept in LLoyds, the tel number is with the address you write to when you make a reclaim:
Lloyds PPI
Customer Care
Lloyds TSB Insurance
Tredegar Park
Newport
South Wales
NP10 8SB
Tel 0845 3005599
Fax 01633 468835
So ring them first, if not the best thing would be to request for copies of your agreements as stated in my last post, request for copies of your agreements etc.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

You can for now try emailing and hopefully by the time you intend to ring, you may have received a response with a bit of luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
