We have just had a visit from pest control for a similar issue with pigeons landing on our balcony. To my mind, spikes look a bit unsightly and would be expensive to fit on our building. We are concerned that this will just move them from one landing spot to another. We are going to try a trap. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Tbqq0Ct0Wc

I have pigeons that feed on the grain spilled from the feeders by the smaller birds.
They get quite fat and slow, and the local sparrowhawk treats them as a takeaway.
But I'm not sure feeding them is a strategy that would necessarily work for everybody, sorry!import this0
