Orange reception problems
Hi folks,
Around 3 weeks ago, the reception on my SE W800i went completely whilst at work (Coventry). I called Orange CS twice who said they would "look into it" and call me back. No one called so on my third call I was eventually told a transmitter in my area was down and was the cause, however they did not know when it would be up and running again.
After 2 weeks it still wasn't working and Orange were now admitting that 3 masts were down and again there was no timescale for repairs to be completed.
Orange say they don't guarantee 100% service, but from 8am to 7-8pm at work I can't make or recieve calls. To me that is 0% service. I can hack the network going down for an hour or so, but this has now been going on for 3 weeks.
After week 2 I argued that on £30 per month I should get 1/2 my line rental back which he agreed to, but stated that there was no guarantee this would happen again if I phone them back.
As I am tied in until Feb '07 , where do I go from here?
Everyone @ Orange tells you something different. I don't really want to move as my OH has a really good deal tied into my package, but £30 + insurance+ texts on top comes to around £40 a month. For evening and weekend calls only this is proving an expensive contract.
Anyone any ideas?
