AOL dial-up number/software

does anyone know the anytime dial-up number for AOL?
if so can i set-up my own internet connection for it because i've tried downloading their software but it's EXTREMELY slow and says time remaining almost 8 hours!!!!!
do i have to use their software to connect?!?!?

Might be worth looking in currys/dixons/pcworld as they have the AOL disks on a display, and yes i beleive you need there software for dial up 0
