I have recently purchased an Epson printer from PC World.
Once the original inks had finished, i used compatible ink cartridges. Was working fine, but now the printouts dont print in the right colour
Im thinking of taking the printer back to PC World. What i wanted to ask is now that i have compatible inks in the printer, is my guarnatee void?
Or will i still be allowed an exchange?

Have you cleaned the print head?
What model is it?That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Think it may void the guarantee so don't go with the compatible cartridges - leave them at home.
But as suggested earlier try cleaning print heads etc. and go through all the options in the printer if it doesn't work!0 -
Thnx for the replies. I did clean the printer nozzle, but still the same0

I had an Epson some years ago and it just didn't seem to like non Epson ink. No idea why.
Tried various compatible ones, did my own refills but in the end had to use Epson ink
Have you tried genuine Epson cartridges again to see if it prints okay with them?0 -
I havent tried it after the first free ink cartridges ran out LOL. Im thinking thats the problem. Ill probably have to just use the original ink cartridges too0

I've been refilling and using compatibles in various Epson's for years with no issues.
Use a search engine to identify a "printer test page" and print it. If the tanks have been filled with the wrong colour or the cartridges incorrectly installed then this will show in the printout.0 -
