This is from Delia smiths's christmas book which I have she says in it that thebest time to make the pudding is stir up sunday which is in November and she does not recommend making the pudding beforehand. Also when made she suggests storing in a cool dark place like under a bed in a spare room or in my case under the stairs cupbaord!

The earlier you make it the better the flavour. We normally make ours around this time. We make enough for two, and put one away for the next year - saves a long job!!!

Our recipe is a very old family one dating back 150 years - it has potatoes and carrots in it:confused: , but goes down a treat with everyone who tries is!!!

Don't forget to let everyone have a stir so they can make a wish

Any chance of the recipe please Scuzz?

I had one for a pudding like this, but have lost it somewhere:beer:
I don't like the 'modern' pudding recipes, their too light.

I do mine around Halloween and Bonfire Night, that's early enough for me.
