i think it is made more frustrating that the forms took so long and so many emotions were put into it and they didnt even seem to read it.

Jennie-Jack, you are in a similar position to a friend of mine. Her son is autistic, ADHD, has behavioural problems, is tube fed, has hypermobility syndrome, and something else that I can't remember. He was on HRC and HRM. At school, he has a Statement and receives 1:1 support for most of the time.

School went to panel at the LEA to request more hours for his 1:1, as they were having difficulty with his behaviour. A week later, school replied to the DLA request for a report. They failed to mention that they use his tube. They didn't mention 1:1 support, never mind their very recent request to panel for more hours, taking him to full time support. Even worse, they said that he didn't have any problems with his behaviour or his ADHD - yet his parents are called into school most days because of this.

The DLA award was zero for both care and mobility. The family is currently undergoing an appeal. the original form was filled in with help from the benefits officer at the local Carer's Centre.

    Good luck with your appeal.
