Call me naive....call me stupid....
I knew when doing a quickdownload in Turkey it may cost me a little bit extra.
I wasn't reckoning on £75 for 14 mins.
I take it I have no comeback threatening to quit my contract? It's up for renewal in a couple of months.
Please don't berate me any more than absolutely necessary, I couldn't feel any more of an idiot.

Unfortunatly not, but try calling and seeing if they will reduce it.
Bear in mind they'll have bene charge by the Turkish network but you may get a bit of a reduction. Not moch hope but worth a shot.0 -
Its always costly when using your phone abroad, even more so when its data. The average rate used to be £3-£4 per MB and that was just for out of bundle usage in the UK. Its a lot better now, but even so...if they are charging that sort of money for UK usage, you'd imagine it to be considerably more abroad. I would recommend taking a PAYG sim with you next time you're abroad, that way you have some form of hard limit to your spend (not quite sure if internet would work with PAYG abroad), rather than getting a shocker on your return. Always try to use alternate form of internet access if can that doesn't use the phone networks, i.e. internet cafe, hotel WIFI, etc... It'll cost much less. This is the problem with contracts, in the same way as credit cards are...its just too easy to use without much thought.
Sorry its not much help to you now. Well worth talking to them about it to see what they can do, but I wouldn't hold out for much of a reduction. All you can hope at best is you get a similar sized discount at renewal to counter this cost in a few months time.
Good luck.0
