I don't wish to put you down. I offer my comments in the hope you may learn what not to do in the future.

I don't understand why you purchased an additional warranty, when manufacturer's still has 16 months to run? In my experience, many after market warranties have so many exclusions they are of little value. Ford do offer a reaonable warranty and will be less inclined to be picky where it was not serviced in accordance with schedule and void warranty.
I will discuss with my nearest service centre (who I will use regularly) and see what they say.
Why not discuss with Ford and warranty company?

Anyway, let's hope you don't need to claim on the warranty.

    Thanks all

I have phoned customer service and they have stated a claim could be rejected due to late servicing especially if it is a servicable item (I hope I have written that correctly) This applies to the remainder of the manufacturers warranty

They have advised I speak to the dealership.

I noticed that service book has the incorrect chassis number.

I have informed the dealership of my concerns and given them the option of putting it in writing that they will honour any claim which is declined by warranty because of the servicing. I also mentioned that I may reject the vehicle if this issue cannot be sorted out, although I don't really want to do that as the car meets all of my needs. Except for this issue

    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks for comments

    Hi Thanks for comments
I purchased an additional now as I was told I would be unable to do so next year (yes i'm sure I fell for a line... again!)

This will be my 2nd used car, my first was much older and I got a warranty thrown in for free with that. I found it was very good actually and my car did have some problems which were easily sorted for me. So I guess I am used to having additional peace of mind.

Yes hopefully I won't need to claim, but would rather get this issue sorted now than months later, if I need to.

What gets me is I really did my research and asked question after question (relevant of course) - thats the frustrating part.

    Hi ya

Just a quick update! Finally all resolved. They acknowledged the mistake and error. I now an additional warranty purchased by Ford for me to cover the remainder of the manufacturers warranty, in addition I received a refund of £100 as a good will gesture. Also I have the correct service book and correct manual for my car... finally.
I am pleased all is sorted. The manager was very helpful.
