Cant give you anll in one price as we dont know the final sale figure. We dont know if the fees are private or trade, plus delivery etc andd if you were payin with cash or credit card.
It will probably make early 5's. But it could get close to 6.
Its worth what its worth.0 -
I am a private buyer and will collect myself and pay with cash. Just wanted an estimate.
I didn't realise it would go that high.
Might have to reconsider and go for a Ford Focus estate instead.
Thanks.0 -
That's a hell of a mileage for a car that's only a year old. Personally I wouldn't want to pay £5k, although it is booked trade at about £4225, if it's been a Taxi or Private Hire then I would leave well alone unless it's a Taxi you're after. That mileage equates to nearly 9,500 miles a month.
How does the mileage affect the warranty?
If you want to pay 5k all in then that is what you should pay but if you think it will go for 6k and you are willing to pay that, then take 6k with you to the Auction.

Do you really think thats alot for this car? Its a Skoda so in my opinion 120k is not something to be worried about as its likey that most of mileage was done on a motorway by a sales rep. I can find out the owner anyway.
I havent been to an auction in a while and was wondering what the prices are like now?
BTW its a 2 year old car, not one.
Would the warranty be over at 100k?
Thanks
where is it booked trade at that price? where can I find the value of this car?0 -
Clean CAP is £5100, so that is roughly what the Vendor (Alphabet Group) will want.
Then on top of that you have the buyers fee, which will be displayed all around the hall. BCA will charge you about £25 for sending off the V5 too.
You pay what you want to pay. Stick to your budget.
It'll probably be a nice car to drive with that many miles up it in such a short time too.0 -
Skoda warranty is 2 years unlimited or 3 years 60k whichever comes first.
If its alphabet its unlikely to have been a taxi. Taxi leasing is fairly specialist and they tend not to go to auction like this.
Used to sell these and 2 year 100k in the entry level spec and smallest but frugal diesel and estate would probably be a car allocated to a driver rather than one chosen by them.
As you point out motorway miles and almost certainly properly maintained.
I would say a single driver and not a pool car. Would say its a decent punt but wouldnt go higher 6k for it.
I saw an elegance DSG with about 70k and a year older go for 7k a couple of months back.

This is a car going to auction in Birmingham BCA, seller is Leaseplan. Anyone have a clue what the seller would be looking for?
I presume it doesn't have MOT as its not due yet.
Who do Leaseplan lease to normally or is it to anyone who wants a car?
Also, can someone make comments on the maintenance record?
What should I budget?

Why don't you go to an auction without cash and get an idea of what these kind of cars sell for before diving in for something? Lease cars like this are ten a penny and will be at the auctions every week
As for that Focus, i'd say it's well overdue for service 3 which would worry me!0 -
Don't fall into the idea that all newish high mileage cars have done only motorway miles, when I mentioned the mileage on the Skoda to my brother he said "that's about the same mileage as I do".
He is a taxi driver, his Skoda is bought outright, but some of the guys lease new Skoda's.

Last service was at 61k in 5/09. they are due every 12500 miles. And its now on 75, so it's due a service and its first MOT is due too.
Leaseplan will have leased it to someone for 3 years as a company car. Somethinbg like that will have been Network Rail probably.0
