Having had a couple of jars of Alta Rica myself, I can do nothing but commend Nestle on their customer service.
I got through first time on the phone to their customer services dept, and got a cheque for £10 a couple of days ago. Good service in my opinion.


Also, the lady on the phone told me it was a problem with the wrapping on the jar masking breakages of the jars in transit. The wrapping holds together the jars, but shards of glass can get into the coffee. So, if you empty the jars, look inside and there's no damage to the jar, then the coffee should be OK. ( Don't take this as gospel though).

I haven't heard anything yet since sending the jar lids to them on 26 May.

I emailed them over the weekend and received my cheque in the post this morning!! Very quick response!

I was expecting some vouchers to be sent through, but a cheque is good

Got my cheque yesterday, £5 refund per jar.

My local Tesco i think have been trying it on with this recall or its just a badly run store that doesn't read or act on bulletins, I went in on Weds 9th and bought one of the affected jars, only on my visit today have they cleared the shelfs and put up a notice about the recall, considering the recall was the 21st of May thats way out of line, i have drunk about 4 jars since then without knowing.
