I don't have a plan, except to keep within my debt-free lines on my spreadsheet. As long as I can keep to within these lines I'll be happyAdam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Hello all, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, and hope the new year is a good one for you!
Well, it's new years eve eve now. I'm not sure if I will get much time to write this tomorrow so thought I would summarise how I feel my year has gone.
I didn’t start my DF challenge until 26th May 2010 according to my first post here. Starting out with £23,343.35 of debt, I was in a LOT of mess. I had no plan of attack, no idea where to start, and no real motivation – but thanks to the encouragement of my DOH and you guys here, I’ve managed to reduce that down this year to £18,700. I know it’s not as much as a lot of other people here, but I’m still very proud of what I have achieved in the short space of debt busting time. To look at it another way, it works out as:
· £663.33 cleared per month
· £149.75 cleared per week
· £21.20 cleared per day
· £0.88 cleared per hour
I think that’s enough for now, but it’s staggering to look at this and think I’m paying close to £1 an hour of my life on debt!! I’m sure other people pay more than this, but for every hour that passes during the day (not just the working day) I give a pound of my hard earned money to someone else!! If I were on an hourly wage at work, it would equate to roughly £4.27 per working hour, which is close to what some people make on minimum wage… Scary stuff!
So, for 2011 – we must change this! We must get this cleared. I’m going to aim higher than I thought possible, but without stressing myself out if I don’t reach my targets. It’s difficult to set targets when you’ve only got one main debt to repay, but I want to make sure I’m down to about £4k by the end of the year, I want to make sure I keep to within my targeted space (on my debt chart). It will be a tough year, I know that much, but if I can work as hard as I have these past 7 months I’m sure I can do it!
Here’s to the next year!!Adam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Great round up to the year end you have so well in such a short time, and you may even find the extra £4K along the way. I dream of making our last payments next xmas but if we dont it should be at an all time low amount.
Good luck and Best wishes for 2011 we will be here cheering you along all the way :beer:MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
