I know many people may have asked this before but does anyone know when 2.2 is coming to desire?

Possibly..
Just because HTC release it the carriers still need to look at it and may need to modify (read stuff over with there branding and ho hum apps) the firmware.
Sim Free phones should get it starting the 23rd, phones from a network may take longer.
As I've said before don't rely on it, my SE X1 was supposed to get the Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade then Sony changed their minds and it never appeared. Until it's released it's not a guarantee.0 -
June the 23rd is an uncomnfirmed rumour I believe. HTC have said officially it will be in the second half of 2010.
Perosnally I think they will get it out fairly quickly as they need to support the Desire if they hope to takle saels from the iPhone. Also announcing the update around the time of the iPhone 4G launch would be good publicity for them.It's my problem, it's my problem

if its anything like the htc hero and android 2.1, we have been promised it for at least the last 6 months, only for each time we get nearer the date it gets pushed back, although the americans now have it on theirs, hopefully we will get ours soon:eek:Take every day as it comes!!0

Hopefully it won't take that long as going from version 2.1 to 2.2 should theoretically be much simpler than jumping from 1.5 to 2.1.It's my problem, it's my problem
