ADSL is the same whatever country you are in. ADSL Max is a product only supplied by BT. It is different from ADSL. All the answers I've given in this thread have been specific to ADSL, not ADSL Max.

I suggest you have a look around the net and read up on these products. Your questions show that you are lacking some very basic understanding of what they are, and how they work.

Thank you for all of your help and advice........I know it has somewhat deviated from my original question.

It appeared that my ISP put me on the 1mb instead of the 2mb!!!!

The problem was, I couldn't get in contact with them to ask them till this morning.
