The end result is financially beneficial to me, but it is a waste of Merseytravel resources. The method of checking could be an award letter with the rates of DLA, which is much more rigorous than two minutes with a doctor.0 -
Trying to get a travel pass from Merseytravel is like trying to extract teeth from hens.
They refused me 3 times and you can't even appeal. Managed to get one and still have to fill the form out every 2 years
just passing through.... Nothing to see....0 -
Yeah, from what I hear Merseytravel are even more difficult about passes than GMPTE can be on (uncommon) occasion.
For Stafford Borough Council, you only have to prove you're on DLA at all for the easiest route - take the letter in, even if you don't receive mobility component, and they'll grant it. For GMPTE, I gave them a copy of my award letter listing HRM, and they sent me back a five-year pass that doesn't expire until summer 2012. (Though I may have to get mine replaced sooner than that as it may well be illegible by 2012, the amount of scratches it's picked up!)Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -

Whats wrong with a female looking like a bloke?
Its not like you get a choice about many things and women can look like men and vice versa and it can cause an individual many problems in day to day life, being hertus (sp) isnt nice for a woman and can make them quite masculine even when apart from the hair they look feminine.0
