What network is your friend on? It does not cost anything to receive a text in South Africa on Orange.

on orange-you are charged to make and recieve calls and top send texts while abroad but not charged to recieve texts

She is on orange, that's why she says the texts are free orange to orange on the web. I am talking about the free 30 txts available on orange website. Thanks0

yeah if she is abroad with orange mobile-all the charges to call and text her are the same to you as if she was in the uk. so if you have orange to orange texts, they can be used to text her
