If you bought one you would regret it very, very, very quickly!!
Supposedly 'king of Nokia' with the N97 but:
Poor resistive screen, laggy software, needs updating constantly, poor build quality etc etc etc.'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.

I have this phone, I've only had it for a little under a week, I think its a great phone....Its my first smart phone and so far I'm loving it, Its amazing what you can do with mobiles these days.....My brother had the nokia n97 but has now gone for the htc desire he loves it and thinks its much better than the n97.
I got mine form virgin, its a £20 a month contract for 24 months, It includes unlimited texts, unlimited web, unlimited virgin mobile to virgin mobile calls and 200 minutes. hth

DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT DO IT!!
I have the N97 (not the mini) but other than a slight difference in size and the memory size they are the same phone. And it really is the biggest waste of time/effort/money I have ever put into a phone!! Its awful. The screens terrible, the Apps you can download are very limited and also not useful at all, the camera is poor quality, the internet is slow ... I could go on and on all day about the bad points of this phone!
You will regret it very quickly, I loved mine for all of about 2 weeks, and thats only cause compared to my last bog standard mobile it was much better, but after 2 weeks I'd got over the initial novelty factor of it and have hated it ever since. And being in an 18 month contract with a phone you hate is not fun!
When I was first looking at it EVERYONE warned me off it, and I ignored them thinking as I always do that I know best .... they had great pleasure in telling me "I told you so!"0 -
True the n97 is terrible but the mini is good and saw many revisions to software, apps and build quality.
Dont buy the n97 but do buy the mini as its everything its bigger brother should have been.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
I would keep away form Nokia there OS (Operating System is now old and limited)
Stick to Android or Iphone you can pick one or the other and you will have a much better user experience with them.0 -
Other half has a Mini, he wanted the 97, but was told not to get it as it was crap and to get the mini instead, not that he had much choice as not many places are doing the N97 any more, he is impressed with the mini, took some getting used to as he isn't a techy person when it comes to phones, but he is more than happy with it, and now has got the battery working to a good standard (needs a few run downs and over night charges to get the optimum from it)0

She who must be obeyed has the N97 full size and thinks it's magic, the screen works perfect and is crystal clear, never any crashes, works fantastic as an mp3 player, there are loads of apps etc if you know where to look, the gps works great even with tomtom which works very well on this phone, it syncs perfect with all office apps, np setting up for mobile data and emails, works fantast with her video glasses and most important it is very good for actual phone useage. All in all it is a great phone. I was very tempted to get one myself this week but have decided to wait for the iPhone 4.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0
