Feeling threatened by uncles dog

I have read what each and everyone has to say carefully and thought I would leave it a while before responding to think things through.
I had discussed with the dog breeder re: costs of breeding and we had already decided to share costs and share the resposibility of looking after pups especially if the mum rejects some pups or cannot feed all at the same time. I have 1 child, not 2. She had 6 dogs and 5 died due to old age so I guess she would have been willing to take as much on as she could.
But after listening to what a lot of you have said, to avoid accidents, it might be best to get he spayed to avoid any future problems with family members such as my uncle. I guess fostering another dog would be a nice idea anyway so maybe this is the best thing to do.
I am sorry if some of you feel like I have wasted your time but thanks at the same time'Sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut':j0 -

I was at the vets yesterday (picking up Ralphs £41 a month eye ointment) and there was a large notice on the wall directed to staffie owners. Basically asking them not to breed any more staffies as the pounds and rescues are overwhelmed and if they really had to, to have a blood test because the surgery is seeing so many staffie pups with congenital problems, particularly of the eyes.0

I would have to agree with everyone on here about breeding staffies - please, please don't!
I have a little staffie cross on foster with me now, saved from a 7 day pound - we are having trouble finding him a home as despite being a wonderfully sweet little guy he is incredibly odd looking! I am also helping to transport another staff on Tuesday whose 7 days will be up and has to be taken from up north down to Watford for a rescue place. There is a huge glut of unwanted staffies and people working tirelessly to try to save them. We walk dogs at our local rescue centre too and probably 7 out of every 10 dogs in there are staffies or staffie crosses. Its heartbreaking, please dont be responsible for putting more out there!
Plea over, all the best xxx0
