what terrible photos... i only got as far as photo 4 and thought if i was actually buying i would not look any further
all your black furniture also makes it look very gloomy... what is that Stick thing poking up in a corner ?
a thoroughly depressing set of photos.. no wonder you have had no viewings....
never mind about paying for better photos - get back down to EA manager and insist on better piccies today ....0 -
Thanks to everyone for their advice. Should I get the EA to retake the pictures?
Should I stick with the EA I'm with at the moment? I know there is no lock in period....I just want to get this place sold!!0 -
Yeah, the photos do look a little murky and gloomy, which might put a prospective buyer off, as they might assume the house gets very little light. Also, no picture of the rear garden?0

You need to lighten the whole place up and then get the pictures done again, lose all that dark furniture, ditch that EA, you need one who will be honest with you.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Its near a hospital so it could appeal to a BTL investor as well as FTBs. What are rents like around your way?
I know EA's tend to use poxy little cameras but most of them don't seem to know how to use the flash or even to turn you house lights on.0 -

I really can't afford new furniture!! The house is very well lit it's a shame the pic's don't show that.
I'm really upset that these pics may be the reason I'm not getting any viewings.0 -
dont get upset... we are advising you on how to sell your house.... sooner rather than later...

i have some dark dark settees in my rented home and i found them very depressing so put some nice light cotton throws over them and a few bright cushions.. it makes me feel much cheerier.. a cheap solution ...
go and talk to the EA when you are not upset and i am sure they will understand what you are saying about requiring immediate rephotographs.... .. if they dont - change EAs0 -
Don't get upset. We nitpick like crazy on here. We'll find the smallest reason that your house is not selling and mention it to you. What you have to do is work out which are the main reasons and adjust those. I think in this case it's the dark photos and the slightly too high price.
As an example of a nitpick: I like to see the garden. I won't buy a house without a decent-sized garden. So give it a quick spruce up on a sunny day and take a picture to add in to the others.

Two problems:
1. The photos - but that's easily fixed. Get the EA back, or get a friend to take some better ones. Don't throw your furniture out!
2. The price. I can't comment on whether you've priced it right, but obviously that's not so cheap to fix.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Another issue is there is no floor plan, get your EA to put up a floor plan.
I always look for a floor plan0
