Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
The phone companies will probably take out the phone when they get it to add on new software specific to the network, or add other features like bigger SD cards etc.
My phone from Play which was unlocked, not from any network had the seal already opened even though it was a brand new phone. It also came with a new "seal" sticker inside the box which I assume the network is then meant to replace the broken seal so that it looks like its never been opened.0 -
The HTC owners I know had theirs shipped in sealed box's. ( Vodafone, DAP, P4U and CPW )
However, I believe many of these £285 deals on 02 ( buy the phone for £285 and take out a 12 month £15 simplicity deal ) are being shipped in unsealed box's ( refurbs ? ).
With the amount of Desires being returned and the price of the handset. I wouldn't be happy with an unsealed box.0 -
Thanks guys, they are exchanging for me on friday, 2 year contract is too long to take a chance with. The seal was stuck to the sleeve rather than the box....thanks again...0

They will just re-seal it and send it out to another punter0 -

.
I was under the impression the manufacturers flashed and boxed the phones for the networks. Therfore all phones should come in sealed box's. This is what both 02 and Vodafone told me ?0
