Cool. But don't I need it coming back???

The return portion of your journey will be on a seperate ticket (plus the guard probably wouldn't keep it)

It won't open the barrier for the tube - it will open it for the train gates - but not the tube unless you are buying a travelcard add on - which you don't appear to need.

Just to clarify - you're travelling from Southall to London Euston and coming back the same day?

What day of the week are you travelling and what time do you need to be in London for?

Also, Southall seems to go into London Paddington?

No from Manchester to London Euston, then from there to Southall.

One more thing, I was cheking tube prices. And it says for a 5-10 year old to travel free, they must have a Oyster Photocard??? And the same for a 15 year old. So does that mean we'll have to pay full price for the kids?? Or should I get a Oyster card for them too.

Never mind, appears the 10 year old can travel on the Adult's ticket. But what about the 15 year old?? It says you need a photocard.

The 15 year old can buy a daily off peak (aft 9.30am weekdays, all day weekends) Travelcard for use on the tubes for £2 (or £1 if you have a friends and family rail card).

Depending on when you are going you might be able to get an "advance" ticket...this is £10 Adult Single / £5 Child Single - so this would cost you £30.

If you buy the ticket from Manchester to Southall then this will cover you for the connection between London Euston and London Paddington on the tube.

    From www.nationalrail.co.uk

Up to two children under five years of age can travel free at any time when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.

So you won't need anything other than your ticket and the 15 year olds ticket.

    Hope that helps.

Would it be wise to get the Travelcard for the Adult too? So the under 11 can travel free on the Adult's trvalecard. And can I also say that the Southall station is actually Rail. So can you use that??

You won't need a travelcard if you purchase a ticket from Manchester to Southall. (Unless you do now want to travel elsewhere in London.)

The change between Euston and Paddington will be covered in that ticket.

As JenniferF says, Advance Singles from Manchester to Southall can be very cheap.

As we don't know when you are travelling, it is not possible to give an exact price.

Advance Singles are available for your party of two adults and one child, using a Family and Friends Railcard, from £30.20 return.
Thats the total for all three of you return from Manchester to Southall... including the tube between Euston and Paddington.

Just another thing, the schedule one them says the tube leaves the second my train arrives. Do I have to catch the one straight away???

EDIT: Same for the Train :S Andf there appears to be maintenance scheduled for that day at London Euston to Paddington. Will there be a free bus services available then?
