I'm due to go London, with my mum and brother (three of us) can we all use the PLUSBUS thing? Which I'm presuming gives us free tube use???

Plusbus is not available in London.

A Travelcard or Oystercard maybe what you are looking for.

The Transport For London website will help.

    Where are you travelling from?

How long are you planning to stay in London?

Plusbus doesn't operate in London. You may be able to use it for the journey to the station at your starting point

If any of you have English senior bus passes they can be used in London - on buses only

Otherwise travelcard or Oyster as suggested.

If it's a day trip your local station may be able to sell you a ticket with the rail journey/travelcard included - if they do check that it's actually cheaper than buying them separately

Will you not want to travel around London via tube / bus during the time you're there?

No, going to a wedding, but they will take us there (carpool). What's the best solution for One Adult, One 15 year old and a 10 year old.??

You are probably going to find it cheaper to get a ticket (return or maybe two singles) from your home station to Southall. It will include the underground journey and train to Southall and is usually cheaper than buying separate tickets.

You may even find a trip via Reading cheaper - train Birmingham to Reading then a local train to Southall. No need to go to London at all.

But if you are coy about where you are starting from it's difficult to give specific help.

K thanks. I'll do that then. Ermm does the train ticket open the barrier at Euston then (on the tube), as I'll need it when going back. Dunno how any of this works lol as I've never been.

Yes it will - it's designed to do that.

If it's faulty show it to the guy on the manned gate.

It won't open the barrier for the tube - it will open it for the train gates - but not the tube unless you are buying a travelcard add on - which you don't appear to need.

Just to clarify - you're travelling from Southall to London Euston and coming back the same day?

What day of the week are you travelling and what time do you need to be in London for?

Also, Southall seems to go into London Paddington?
