stardrops in a vax?

Ive just done the hall and landing with a neat solution in the shampoo tank.
No fabric conditioner so i used a dollop of hair conditioner and some salt.
a bit of foam but no more than when using the "pproper stuff"
cant really comment on the carpet as this is the first time we are using our vax machine( in the past we have borrowed our friends much better machine) So i shall wait until Mrs T comes home to give her judgement. Though the waste water was quite yucky.
My gut feeling is that its not quite as good as the proper stuff but as its about a 10th of the price and about 4/5 as good I am well chuffed.

Ive just bought a vax upright ecj1pav1 washer, it has a top container with water and chamber for cleaning fluid and a bottom chamber for dirty water.

Can someone tell me what ratio do i need water/stardrops?

Will the stardrops be okay in the chamber for cleaning fluid as this is mixed when you push the trigger.

Also conditioner innthe waste water container too yeah?
