I spent a forune on carpet cleaners til I read on here about stardrops..I used a capful of Lenor (with added fabreze) in with 3 caps of stardrops and its brought my carpets up better than anything I've ever used :T
Is this the cap from the Lenor bottle or the original VAX cleaner bottle? Did you put the Lenor in with the Stardrops and water or the bottom tank? Did you add the Febreeze in separately or was it included with the Lenor? My dining room carpet has suffered and I'd like to rejuvenate it, but want to make sure I don't end up with a room full of suds.
Thanks,

Hi Mermaid
Its the cap on the lenor bottle (concentrate size so its a small one) the febreze is already added in the lenor its a blue coloured one smells nice!I bunged the water in first (lukewarm) added the stardrops then the lenor. My carpets are really old and it worked on them all really well especially the beige hallway one (brainstorm with 4 men in the house.. )

I'm proud to say that I'm a Stardrop convert :j and I'd like to use Stardrops in my Vax upright carpet cleaner instead of the very expensive useless stuff that Vax provide with the machine.
My questions is:
What's the ratio between Stardrops and water? Do I put a lot of Stardrops in or just a little etc?
Your help would be appreciated as I know you are all very "up to date" on the use of the magical Stardrops0 -
OK- I'm not sure I'm going to be very helpful, but I fill my vax machine with warm (not boiling hot) water, then put in a generous squeeze of Stardrops. I've never measured it out, but if I'm guessing it would be about twice as much, as the amount of regular (not concentrated) washing up liquid you would use to do a sink full of dishes. Some others also put about a capful of fabric conditioner in the reservoir where the dirty water collects, as they say this stops excessive foaming, but I've done it both ways and don't notice any difference doing it this way.0

I have an upright Bissell which has a formula tank at the bank. this is undilted mix. The machine mixes it all itself.
I am think about using star drops.. any suggestions on how i should use it?
Should i fill it all with star drops and put fabirc conditioner in the water tank? or should i mix fabric conditioner in with the star drops ??
Thanks0 -
would stardrops work in the rug doctor machine that you can hire from dry cleaners etc?Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.
wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!0 -
i used star drops just last week in my vax hard floor cleaner boy did i wish i read this thread first!!!!
i had my own bubble machine going on, there were suds everywhere and bubbles floating around the kitchen it was mad i tell ya!!!!!
i think i overdid it with the stardrops but i didnt know about putting fabric conditioner in as well
oh well i will remember for next time. by the way i used teh machine yesterday and still loads of bubbles coming out i think some of the stardrops is still in the pipes lol0 -
Just seen this thread revived. Divadee you made me laugh!
Next question- Can you use it for washing windows? I now use stardrops to do the dishes but still buy fairy liquid to use with vinegar to wash the windows.
Other than that I think Stardrops covers every job except cleaning the loo - for which I use starclen.0
