Im 23, and i soooo wish id of started saving at 19, i spent it on crap, and tbh although ive had some nice holidays i certainly didnt 'see the world' I had a family pretty young, i was 20 when i got my first mortgage and 22 when i had my daughter, so money gets very tight now we are a 1 waged family. I now decided i wanted to save as we need a bigger house- so we saving for a bigger deposit, so this proves tough when you only have a little spare each month.
I think its good the way you are thinking and its all about balance

You can invest up to £10,200 in ISAs per year.
Of that, up to £5,100 per year can be invested in a cash ISA.
The full £10,200 allowance can be invested in a stocks and shares ISA, but in that case you cannot also invest in a cash ISA.0
