Who should repair my phone?
I got a new samsung mobile on contract through Mobiles.co.uk on t-mobile network.
A month or so i noticed that the phone needed charging every 2 days and now every day.
I rang mobile.co.uk and the said take it to carphones warehouse as they will repair it. On 3/5/10 i went to the shop and after a lot of fuss they said you can buy a battery or pay them to send it off or i should really go to t-moblie as it is theie prob. Well i decided to go to t-mobile and 2 days later went to a shop and was told that i should call c/s and explain to them but in the meantime they were quite happy to sell me an upgrade.
Called c/s on 12.5.10 and they said will send new battery. Next day got a call from c/s and had to explain it all again and new battery will be here in 5 working days.
Today no battery and 7 working days later i called again only having been passed to 6 different people and 45 min later told that t-mobile do not issue replacement batteries and i should go back to c/w or mobiles.co.uk and they will give me a new one.
As you can imagine i am really p'd off.
Has anybody got an idea of what i should do now please.

Looking at the T&C, http://!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/white_labels/shared/mobiles_terms_and_conditions_09_v2.pdf
I would say that mobiles.co.uk is liable for the repair/replacement. They sell you a contract and provide the equipment. So they would be the retailer of the equipment and liable under sale of goods act. CarPhoneWarehouse is the parent group and owns mobiles.co.uk which is why you were sent to them.
Battery warranty is usually 3 or 6 months, sometimes upto 12 you will have to check your handbook that came with the phone. So assuming you are in the limit, then they must issue a replacement although they are allowed to send it away for testing which can take some time. Obviously no battery no phone, you would then have to argue with mobiles.co.uk the phone was unusable and you had no alternative so were been charged for a mobile service you could not use due to faulty equipment.
As an ultimate contact, ring consumer direct and they will point you at the right person with the law in hand - http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/about/how-we-help/Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Cpw shops should send it off for "repair foc when purhcased from Mobiles.co.uk; however, they also tend to make the initial fault look like nothing compared with the new ones you get on its return. Their "engineers" are more like wreckers.0

I rang mobiles.co.uk this morning about the battery and after being passed from 1 person to another for 30 mins they said they will call me back but that was 3 hours ago.
I rang samsung and explained to them and with a 6 month warranty they will replace it foc but when i was asked for the serial No. the guy said the phone was made in November and outside the 6 months.I told him i got it in December and then was told i will have to FAX the delivery not from mobiles to them or post it for confirmation of the date.I asked about emailing this to them but he said it had to be a fax or post.Thought this was the modern age.
After they have got this i have to call them back and find out getting a new battery.0 -
I called this morning and they said they never got the fax and i had to resend it.
Rang again midday and spoke to another person and they will be sending a new battery within 3 weeks and that person told me that i should have got the battery replaced with whom i had bought the phone from.0
