Do you know whether you can transfer £1000 into your reward current account and transfer it back out again on the same day and still get the £5 interest for the month?

Certainly do. I transfer £1k into the wife's housekeeping account - and then remove the surplus a few seconds later. Leave it longer than that and she will claim it!If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
