avg updates stopped working ???

Thanks SRA555. Just before I installed version 7 it came up with a message that it detects version 6 and will uninstall it as part of the version 7 install process.

I've been trying to update on and off for two days. It worked this morning after twenty minutes of trying.

Glad I checked this thread, as I've had exactly the same probs, and thought perhaps was just something to do with my system. Recently changed to broadband, and wondered if that had upset it, seemingly not.

I got fed up with this, so I downloaded Avast (free for 14 months). No problems with it so far.
