Just made a boo boo when getting travel insurance.

Went onto travelsupermarket.com and was looking for insurance for our family holiday to Spain in July and our honeymoon to the Canaries in October.

Me being a dozy cow has only gone and put all the right details in for the family holiday, apart from putting down we're going to the Canaries!

Do you think this would make the policy void?

It's through Insure4me, but as there are no log in details, I don't have any ref number to contact them and policy takes a few days to come through to email address.

ETA, Policy has just come through! Have just emailed insure4me, to see is this will be a problem, fingers crossed it will be OK.

All is well! Just had reply saying it doesn't matter as the Canaries are part of Spain anyway.

Now I know this, so what's the point in asking to choose the destination from their list, when both Spain and the Canaries are on it?

Was there an option to put the Canaries? Usually when i get insurance the options are usually along the lines of:
    Europe
    Worldwide excl USA
    etc etc

It asks where we are going.

Spain and The Canary Islands are both listed amongst other countries.

    Which site?

    Moneysupermarket?

You have to then choose a destination from a huge drop down list.

Is this an annual policy? Surely you will be ok if you have selected European cover as you could continue to book more trips for the duration of the cover?

No, it's a single trip policy.

well if it's a single trip policy it would only cover the Spain holiday anyway. You would probably be better getting an annual insurance policy. I'm pretty sure with insurance you will have a 7-day cooling off period so you could cancel and re-book an annual policy.

How would it only cover the Spain holiday when they don't know I'm going to Spain?
