Anyone else think the new layout has ruined MSE?

It's alright, but I'll admit that I've switched it back to the old view for the moment. Hey- it's been a looong day and I'm too tired to faff about learning new buttons on a forum. Especially when those buttons look a bit...childish (what's with the balloons?).

But...I don't want to seem like an old fogey who isn't OK with change, so I'll handle it.... when I've got time .

Still keeping to old one - I like the clear lines between bits (years of teaching and neatly ruled lines, I suppose)

Why is everything was widely spaced on Version 2?

I got back from holiday yesterday and was looking something up on Google.
One of the links was to these boards and when the page came up I thought it was an old link and checked the date of the posts only to find it`s the current format which looks like it did eight years ago but without the extra fancy buttons,thanks,abuse,etc.
