Mrs_Mix - nice to see you posting again!:j I too spend far too much time on FB:D

I'm quite liking the new format although it'll take a bit of getting used to!:T

just got back from cleaning - phew I'm hot! just having a rest and some lunch before setting off for my course on infection control.
Poor DH should be home soon - he got up at 1.30am for work:eek: as its his busiest day today. He struggles with the heat a lot so will glad to be home, he'll probably spend the afternoon asleep as we didn't sleep well last night.

    just deciding what's for lunch.

Afternoon, your boat trip sound lovely nav.

Jackie g: hope your feeling better soon.

Well after a very busy weekend of Ds1's birthday party.Today has been quite quiet.
I'm officially an invald as my right hand is totally covered in blisters and open wounds. doctors think i might be allergic to raspberry plants. Typical. Also reckon i may have scarring where A & E popped my blisters.
So the os stuff i will be doing is sorting paperwork, seeing the ST and taking DS1 to the dentist i think. For tea where having chicken and garlic bread or whatever OH puts with it. Cant cook etc as i'm in far too much pain.

right going to grab DS1 from school, enjoy the glorious days every one!

    Afternoon all,

Very overcast here this morning but the sun has come out now and it is very warm...washing everything in sight at present....hope the dog and cats keep moving or they will end up in washing machine too!

Knitting group this morning, nice social affair as usual, will be missing next 2 weeks due to holiday, will bring some knitting with me, circular needles don't seem to be a problem on planes....glad to see that the ash threat has gone.

Dinner will be lamb burgers for OH and chicken for me, both from freezer, spinach and potatoes with some stewed rhubarb and yoghurt.

Off to collect DGS2 in a bit and hang round with him until he goes for music at 3, will manage to get into garden for a bit, need to get all organised before we go as 'children' will water but they will not be doing any weeding or running repairs that might need doing.

Have discovered a new 'wet fish' shop in local town, will probably not try it until back from holidays, usual variety available is not great so hopefully this will be an improvement, love my fish, but like it to be fresh and from Irish waters if possible...my dearest wish would be to get some herring but they seem to be as scarce as hens' teeth for the last several years.

JackieG...sorry that you are still suffering as a result of the fall, take it easy.

Hugs to Diva, Ladygrim, Jayward and PP as well as anyone else who would like one.

    Afternoon everyone.

I apologise in advance there is little to no OS going on today apart from hanging one load of washing and cooking tonight :o After such a busy weekend and with the hot weather I just can't be bothered to do my usual rushing around this afternoon so I am sitting watching Lost. I confess I missed the start of this series as we didn't have Sky - I've only seen about 2 episodes and I am confused as to where the story has gone - last time I watched it half of them were stuck in the 70's :rotfl:

Good luck to all those taking exams this week x

JackieG - sorry to hear you're in so much pain. Get thee to the Dr's asap and get yourself looked at xx

esmf - hope your DS is feeling better soon x

OK need to concentrate on Lost now so catch up later ;)

PS I like the new look forums :D

    Afternoon All,

Thanks for the kind wishes, you're all such sweeties. I feel as if I'm fishing for it, it doesn't sit right having all these people being nice to me, must reflect my upbringing!;) Well, I have done nothing this morning. I watched 2012, sitting/perching on the couch on one cheek:p, cuddling Coco, who has an upset tummy. (You must think we're a right lots of crocks in this house!) It's quite good, but you really need to suspend your disbelief, especially for some of the accents! Just about to have a Baked Potato with coleslaw and cheese, and fold some washing. Not as hot and sunny today as yesterday.

Kezlou that sounds really painful. I thought you weren't meant to pop blisters? Make sure your buy nice thick gardening gloves for future use.

    See you all later. XX

So did i, Jackie, but they did anyway:mad:

As for today, sat watching rubbish tv while doing paperwork. Went through tons of it and filled the blue recycling bag with it all. So its all good.
Didn't take DS1 to the dentists as i thought sack it as my hand was hurting too much. so going tomorrow instead for his review.

Right off to see the ST and DS2,

    bye for now x

Jackie, have you injured your bum? If it were me, I'd use it as an excuse to lie on my tummy and watch tele all day :D

Lost was good. I've been thinking about it since I watched it, had a lot of lightbulb_000.jpg moments and a couple of :doh:moments :D All very clever IMO.

My salad leaves are drooping in the heat so I've brought them inside. Heard a loud gushing noise, the connector on the outside tap has popped off. I can't reach the stopcock without moving the freezer (can't move it on my own) so I've jammed it all back together til mr tru can help me. Got sprayed with lovely cold water in the process :D

Library internet finishes in ten minutes so typing as fast as I can lol!;)

Unpacked about a dozen boxes today , threw out a load of stuff and put other bits and bobs in kitchen cupboards.

Might have a barbecue while weather is nice and then just take it easy for a while.

Why is it , the more you clear out and sort out - the more it looks as if you have still to do?

Checked rightmove and no suitable houses for sale at the moment and can't stay where we are for long as it is up for sale so need to think creatively.

    Hug to everyone.

    Jackie

Would a rubber ring (or thing used for swimming) help to sit on?

Care to explain it as I watched and I am now just "Lost" - and yes the pun WAS intended :rotfl:

    Hi folks.

Just dropping in to say "I aiten't dead" (as Granny Weatherwax would say):D

I've just felt I really didn't have anything to say that anyone would be remotely interested in. *shruggy smilie*.

Anyway, this week, I have a canine lodger. He's a miniature Schnauzer, 10 years old, and he's diabetic! So he has to have 2 insulin injections every day. Now, anyone who knows me knows that I faint at the mere mention of needles:eek:, but luckily Mr LW has stepped up to the plate and does Sidney's shots for him. In fact we're waiting for Mr LW to get in from w*rk right now, then I can get Sidney his dins.:o

He's a very sweet little dog though, even if he does bring in half the field on his feet (he has "feathers" so picks up a lot of detritus) and is also in the running for the title of World's Messiest Eater! *rolleyes*

OS-wise, I'm trying out a few new (to us) meals, from scratch, of course:D; we also had the deep fat fryer in pieces yesterday for a really good clean, and Mr LW was amazed at how clean I got the little glass viewing window with white vinegar!:D

That's about it from the Wolf's Lair; I'm a tad behind with what's been happening, so I'll just leave a pile of (((HUGS))) - help yourself if you want/need one.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
