A colour change when a thread is read .. ?

Would it be possible to make threads change colour when you have read them? It might make it easier, especially when entering competitions ..

It would be fantastic if that were possible, I've just started looking at the competitions and I have no idea how to keep track, I suppose thanking or subscribing helps, but I was wondering how others managed keeing track!0
