Do Evans Halshaw charge for payment by CC?

Harvey, I get a car allowance with my job, but they stipulate, amongst other things, that the cars need to be no older than 4 years, and no more than 100,000 miles. My Focus is 3 1/2 years old and 70k so it seems a good time to change it.
Indout96, just thought I would get more protection with the CC, although I do know if I pay any deposit(over £100) then I can pay the balance by any means and be totally covered.
How can I pay approx 4-5k on my debit card when it shows a limit of £250? Whereas my CC has MUCH higher limit0 -
My OH bought a new car from Evans Halshaw in Stoke a couple of years ago. She had 0% finance on it but paid the balance on her debit card as I'm sure there was a charge for a credit card. Made no real difference for her other than her CC is a M&S one so she would have got some points on it.0

Your debit card doesn't have a limit of £250 - well maybe in a cash machine.
It has a limit of whatever's in your bank account0 -

The only limit on a debit card is what ever is in your bank account.
The £250 hologram you can see is either cheque guarantee or daily limit @ cash points.
We dont charge the 2.5% on deposits as we only take £100 deposit.
If at point of collection the customer pulls out of the deal cos they don't wanna pay the 2.5% fee then we just say "thats fine, not a problem...".
However, when they find that they're not getting their deposit back they soon change their tune lol0
