Hi there
Its normally that of £10 cheque or postal order payment for a Subject Access Request (SAR) where they should send you more than just the statements, so in this case send the SAR letter (Template below) and enclose that payment where they have 40 calendar days to comply.

As posted in the above post.
Thanks.
I have sent that long time ago.
At the moment, i have all what i need to pursue the PPI, do i still need to pay the tenner?
I thought this will prolong the whole things.
I knew the amount of the PPI and i have the agreement.
It is egg agreement pre-2005.0 -

Hi.
No you don't need to send them anything or request a SAR if you already hold details.
An SAR is only really if you require further information and/or if you do not hold anything on the account at all.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

You just need to fill in the questionnaire that Di gave you the link for and send it to Egg by recorded mail asap to get the ball rolling.0

What i mean was i have sent SAR letter to them long time even though i did not send the 10 pounds but i have all i feel i need for PPI. It was sent to me by Bryne carter.
I will look at the questionnaire and get back to you if i need help.

good luck kay, even if you do not know the total claim amount you can still claim and ask for a breakdown once a settlement has been agreed0

i think its about time the fsa told the banks to stop messing around i have been waiting nearly 6 months for an ombudsman to look over my claim as the company involved rejected the decision made by an adjudicator. The law is the law so how can they still flaunt it and get away with it?0

Hi Folks,
I have studied the questionnaire and i dont think i can fill the form as most of them are either NOT applicable or cant just know the answer. I will give a little bit of the background info below
History
I took the egg credit card in 2002. After about 5 years, i defaulted. I never knew that there was a PPI on the account because my statements is never sent but can be accessed online. The minimum payment was regularly taken from my account. The account was passed to Bryne carter and i started paying monthly dues. Missed one payment, the solicitor filed a court proceeding. We agreed on a settlement(out of court). I have paid the lump sum. I now want to claim the PPI.
If anyone look at this scenario and apply it to complete the questionnaire it will be difficult to complete.
Can anyone help?
Or can i just send 10 pounds to Egg? Could their response ever answers questions like A4, B1 ,B3 among others?

Hi there
You can optionally write them a reclaim letter in your own words if you can, but remember to mention that you expect to hear from them by 8 weeks, and if your not happy with the decision they make on your complaint, you will consider complaining to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).
Hope this helps.:)
If you require further information/documents from your account then this would be a SAR request where then you would pay £10 cheque or postal order, they then have 40 calendar days to comply.

Hi,
I have sent the letter to Egg and hey have now responded with offer of X amount LIMITING IT TO PAST 6 YEARS.
The total PPI charged should be more than the given one. How do they calculate the 8%? How?
Does the law says it cant go beyond last 6 years? I stopped using the card in 2006.

Hi there, well done on your win. Some only go back 6 years some more, if you dont think that it is the right amount you could write back and ask them for all ppi back from the start date with interest, dont know if they will oblige but it is worth a go.Regarding the 8% have they said they are paying you this?, as some dont, you get interest back on the payments made, the 8% is what fos award for you being out of pocket by the ppi.The 8% is on a sliding scale it decreases for each month, from start to present day.Hope this helpsHi,
