Car Hire Norway (Opodo/Hertz)

Been searching for car hire in Norway for a week in August, until now the best price I've seen is around £450 for the week ... [need something big enough for 2 adults/2 kids/luggage so that rules out the cheapest economy size cars]
Anyway, now Opodo is showing £324 for a compact (Ford Focus) or £327 for Intermediate (C-max) which is great ... the only catch I can detect is a fuel charge:-
Also, our flight times (arrive am, depart evening) are such that we have to hire for an extra day for the sake of about 3 hours collect/return overlap, or sit in the airport for an extra half-day at the end of the holiday ... ho-hum doesn't seem to be any way of avoiding that one!
Thanks
Ed

Hertz: If a search has been made for a Hertz car a minimum of 30 days in advance of the pick-up date this rate will be a Hertz Advance promotional rate. A Hertz Advance promotional rate will allow a discount on the standard pre-paid rates. Rentals must include a Saturday or be a minimum of 5 days. A total mileage of 150km per day is included in the price unless travelling to the UK where it is 150 miles per day. Discount is only available on a limited number of rental cars in UK, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Luxembourg. Cars booked under Hertz Advance rates will be provided with a full tank of fuel which will be charged on pick-up. This charge will vary depending on the vehicle model and price of fuel at the time of hire. Please note that there will be no refund for unused fuel, so you are advised to return the vehicle empty.
I guess they might charge any amount for that fuel at collection time under this rather open clause, has anyone here had recent experience of a typical charge for this? Also, our flight times (arrive am, depart evening) are such that we have to hire for an extra day for the sake of about 3 hours collect/return overlap, or sit in the airport for an extra half-day at the end of the holiday ... ho-hum doesn't seem to be any way of avoiding that one!
