We reuse egg boxes for us/freebies to neighbours and friends. we sell in new ones...I thought that was required.0 -
I pay 70p per half dozen from neighbour just up the road. Yolks always the proper colour so know they are genuine, and she has told me to call in even when the board isn't out. Mixed size and always take carton back.0

I just pop up the road, where the old boy has built a little hut thing, were you help yourself to eggs, veggies, and honey, and put your money in the honesty box.
On a rare occasion that I saw him, I asked if he ever gets robbed, to my surprise, he advised that people were more than honest and often he would find extra money in the box compared with goods taken.
I Pay £1.50 for 6 eggs and £2.50 for a jar of the most delicious honey0 -
I'm picking up trays of 30 for £3.50 ATM. We have an honesty box system here too. My own box is just for plants, but they are a bit more complicated than eggs, so I find most people want advice & a chat as well.0
