AOL price plan change?

I am out of contract now with AOL. I am paying way too much to them per month, mostly because I signed up for the laptop deal a while back. So I am paying £29.99 per month.
I am perfectly happy with AOL, but will change providers if needs be. How much could I expect to get my monthly bill down to? I am going to phone this afternoon and see what I can do, I shall tell them I am going to move to BT if they do not oblige.
Is there a good time of the day to phone? I ask because in the past I have spoken to an Irish call centre who were very helpful and I was able to understand them clearly, whereas the other call centre I found difficult to understand.

I'm not sure what deals they are offering people these days.
When I did this about 5 years ago I was offered (and accepted) their 8mbps package for £9.99 with no usage limit. This is what I have been on since.0 -
I left AOL last month to move to SKY and quite honestly, I wish I'd moved a lot sooner. I was paying £12. 99 per month to AOL and had been paying that amount for the last year. Prior to that I was paying £17.99 (silver package) but when I threatned to leave they reduced it by £5.00 per month. Tell them you're seriously considering moving because of the high cost and I'm sure they'll offer you a good deal to stay. Good luck & hope you get yourself a good deal.0

Dont tell them your going to bt as they ae just as expensive, you need to put your number in samknows.com to see what LLU providers you have in your area, they will give you the best price/package. The provider you really want is 02 @ £7.50 (only if your exchange is LLU unbundled) a month if you are a customer, also you can use a friends mobile if you are not0

Let us know what deals you are offered, as it would be good to know
