sunsave holidays experience?

Hello just wondered if anyone else had heard of Sunsave holidays? I booked a hol through about 18 months ago and it was ok.

Just been reading reviews on the web and it seems they bump up the prices added on the website.

any advice?

thanks x

I know its been a while since you posted this but I thought I had better let you know about my experience with Sunsave. I have been on holiday through Sunsave just under 2 years ago. We have also just booked with them again for September. We had no problems the first time around, so fingers crossed I hopefully won't have any problems this time. Make sure you prepare yourself for a slightly higher price than on the website, if you do book with them though. Both times that I have used them, the price has been roughly £200 more than on the website itself. If booking with them you will be better off calling them to pay (do not just book and pay online as they then call you back and give you the correct price within 24 hours. If its a lot more than your budget or you just aren't happy to pay that much it could be too late to get a refund - especially if within 14 weeks of departure date. You lose 100$ of your money basically for cancelling.) Make sure you have the website in front of you when you call and make sure you query every added charge as you go along. They generally are actually legitimate extra costs i.e Fuel tax, Baggage check-in fees, Online Boarding charge etc. These are things that all airlines charge, the difference being that Sunsave generally use Low Cost Airlines who always quote really unbelievably cheap fares, but then advise you that you have to add these mandatory charges on top. A normal priced airline includes these costs in the original quoted price.
So far though I would give Sunsave about an 8 out of 10. (To get a 10 they would have to be paying me to go on holiday on their behalf.)

Have we heard of Sunsave.com ??? - unfortunately yes we have, and we regret ever visiting their website that showed low prices. We ended up paying lots more in charges that are "packaged", they won't tell you what they are - just things like baggage, transfers, booking fees but will not give you a breakdown of the cost. Once they have your cash, they are not interested in any of your concerns.

The price you see on their website bears no relationship to what they actually charge you.

We feel that they ripped us off.

BEWARE - STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!
