    I passed first go.

My mother in law passed on her eighth attempt! I don't think she's driven since, which is probably best for everyone...

Good luck for your test :)

I'm starting to feel uncomfortable. Most people seem to pass first time. I passed my theory first time though. I live in a rural area, so I really need it. I'll be fine :)

Nope...not me....i had to take my test THREE times before i passed!

I passed my theory first go with FULL marks , just a pity i didnt do so well on the actual driving test lol . First time , as soon as the examiner got in that car beside me i just fell apart , the whole test really was a waste of time . I couldnt even control the car my legs were shaking so much. I made so many mistakes that day that i think the examiner was disgusted lol .

Second attempt....my local chemist gave me 3 nerve tablets , one the night befor the test , one at 6am on the morning of the test and one half an hour before the test.....sure the one just before the test didnt kick in on time and i was chilled out for the whole evening AFTER failing the test miserably again.

Third test..same again , 3 nerve tablets , one the night before , one at 6am and one AN HOUR before my test...i cruised round that test route happy and relaxed , nothing fazed me , i was totally in control . I passed without as much as a minor fault !!

Its all to do with nerves on the day . Just try to stay chilled or better still ask your local chemist for a few nerve tablets ?

Taken correctly they really do help.

Good luck on Wednesday , please post and let us know how it goes .

    Took me 2 & a half shots.

Second test was abandoned halfway through as a 4 year old jumped out in front of the car & even with dual brakes I hit her. I was barely in second gear at the time so she wasn't hurt but as a child was involved police were called, I was breathalysed, statements were taken & examiner & I were taken back to testing station in a police van (I was in no fit state to drive so the police drove the car back to the test centre).

I got a cancellation 8 days later & passed - and have not run anyone down since then.:D

Passed first time aged 17 back in 1989.
That was despite some other driver coming round a corner and hitting me as I was waiting for a gap in traffic. Broke the bumper mounts.

I was given the option of abandoning and getting a new date or continuing. The only part of the test I had done was the emergency stop - but I chose to continue and passed.

The car belonged to my aunt who ran her own driving school at the time. After the incident and my teset, she went round to the address of the other driver to confirm some details for insurance - I think he was more relieved than me that I had passed!!

First time, about 2 or 3 months after my 17th birthday, and well before anyone else on here unfortunately.
(I did have a part time job delivering milk, so we put the L plates on all the milk floats and sherpa vans, when I was working)
