Enjoy your curry Adi! I meant to reply to your post about being single as well but I got caught up with my harem of nattering laydees ;).

After splitting up with my ex I spent 2 years being single, I know 2 years isn't a huge amount of time but from the age of 17 I had been in full on long term relationships. It took me a few months to get used to it but you know what? I look back on it and say I actually really enjoyed it! I wouldn't change my life now with my OH for all the money in the world BUT...there are so many aspects of the single life that I really enjoyed :). I was able to plan last minute things, lay in all day, I didn't have to worry about doing the housework at a certain time, I could watch whatever I wanted on TV, you get my point. It always seems that you only appreciate these things when you look back on that time! I think I needed that break before committing to another person, just try and make the most of it because a new OH may turn up when you least expect it!

Drove home from work absolutely busting for the loo and got in to find all the water off and OH yanking tiles out to try and fix our ensuite toilet! We told the landlord about the main bathroom toilet months ago but he seems to think it's the builders responsibility and let's face it....they don't give a flying you know what! OH has just informed me that it must have been a 1st year apprentice who plumbed the toilet in because he can tell it's already been fixed once :rotfl:.

Going to be naughty and get a takeaway tonight, probably chinese as we don't have much left in the freezer after the whole defrost issue and neither of us can be bothered to cook :o. At college tomorrow so going to get Euros at lunch and maybe a little cabin bag for OH to fill, think Saturday is going to come round so quickly now.

Will do my best to catch up with everyone elses diaries tonight, sorry for being so lame, I hope you don't hold it against me ;)

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

  • Well done Jody, I hardly ever put salt on my food now (used to all the time) and I don't miss it at all.

Can some of you lovely peeps do me a favour? I have kind of fell off the wagon with my target to be debt free by the end of March, kind of thought I had loads of time to do it and then forgot about it for a few months :o

Anyway, if any of you could take a look at my diary (no one has visited in 2 and a half weeks :() and offer any advice?

    Sorry for hijacking Jody!

I'll have a look too, later though, if that's ok, need to go bed soon and keep my strength up! Everyone has been setting challenges today so I could challenge you as my debt is closer to yours than the others! I feel like my debt targets have been a bit quiet too, so I know what you mean. I'm hoping to save at least £500 towards the santander card this month, watch this space!

I never feel like cooking after a day at work! Then again, if I get the chance to wriggle out of cooking anytime I do!

You're excused, it must be fun getting ready for your trip!

    Evening all.

Just got home! Had a great evening. Think it probably came to about £30. :( Normally we just share the bill out, but I had to leave to get the train before they did that so just gave what I had and left so will probably have to give more tomorrow.

Had a great time though. Back to money saving tomorrow ;)

Is it weird that I'm really excited about Jody's holiday?! :o I think you're going to have a lovely weekend, teeny bit jealous here!

Not jealous of the packing though, I hate packing, me and DH are both really bad at it - he went on holiday for 10 days without a towel once, and I didn't take a hairbrush on honeymoon :rotfl:
