Morning all, I forget how quiet it gets here over the weekend! I hope everyone is making the most of their extra hour in bed
.
Work was manic last night, there was some odd band/cabaret/comedy act on and the place was rammed . We ran out of Bacardi, Voda, Lime Vodka and had no change in the till as usual. I didn't get home till just gone 1am and my poor legs were really feeling it. Still that was another £60 in my purse so have transferred £50 to savings :T (need to keep £10 back for work lotto syndicate!). The downstairs devil child was having one of her tantrums at 9am so that woke me up, OH was covering my ears with his hands most of the time to stop me going down there with the raging hump :rotfl:.
Just don't have it in me to go into town today, especially after last night but I did check the receipts and I can take them back next Saturday, that will be the 28th day. The girl who always cancels on me wants to meet up soon so I might be able to kill 2 birds with one stone. I'm not working next weekend so town is slightly more pallatable if I don't have to do 6 odd hours on my feet as well! Recieved a few payments from EBay sales so first job is to get it all packed up and do my Music Magpie box as well. My corals end on Tuesday night I think so will be interesting to see how much they go for! Hopefully they will all ship well

Morning Jody
Another £50 for savings, well done, sounds like you earned every penny last night!
It's funny that were all on here mostly when we should be working lol!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I felt like I did!
Just need to wait for the DMP payment to go through then I can check out my new figures, going to list more stuff on Ebay today which will hopefully help, got a few pounds in cashback which might be paid this month so am feeling more positive about getting this cleared before Becs heads out to Borneo.
On paper this years bonus is around £2,700....now I know I am extremely lucky to be getting this at a time when most companies aren't giving payrises etc and I do my best to try and remember that it is a bonus and not something I should expect but that's £800 short of last years. If our company had hit budget my bonus would have been a whopping £7k . My boss has already said he would hope I wont get less than last year but I am trying to prepare myself for all eventualities!

I know what you mean with the bonus thing, yes it's great to get anything, but I'm not on the best wage and I used the get £3k a year in bonuses which made up for it, now I don't even get £1kLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

It's such a pain isn't it? I am hopeful I will still get a decent payrise and I think I am getting more share options so that's good and I appreciate work also pay for my study which costs a few thousand a year .
We are all crossing fingers/legs/eyes that the company has a good year next year to make up for the past two!

Ireland was fantastic thanks hun, we had great weather! It was just a little more expensive to eat and drink out there than I had initially planned but fortunately I seem to be back on track :T.
OK, where to start...lots to say!
Had my appraisal at work yesterday...got massively thanked for being the officer organiser (I sorted out our Xmas meal and a collection for colleague who had baby), told I was a highly valued member of the team both in a work and social aspect which was nice. My direct line manager said my work is improving all the time and some of the really technical bank risk work I do was great considering the amount of work it involves. They have a lot of plans for me over the next 3 years which will hopefully see me become a senior finance manager and get rewarded accordingly. There was a little comment made about me sometimes being 'distracted'
, I think he was hinting at me being on the net and that's fair enough I guess so I'll try and restict my MSE time to first thing in the morning and lunch. :rotfl:
Ebay is going quite well! I have some bits listed that end this afternoon that have a few bids on but the coral seems to be doing exceptionally well, I just need to pick up some packing tips. Checked change pot this morning and almost have another £15 to go in which is great news. OH's aftershave turned up yesterday too so that's him almost sorted for Xmas. Went to mums last night for dinner, bought her some lovely flowers to say thanks for doing the fish while I was away, they were orange and purple with a mini pumpkin on a stick.
Felt quite down yesterday but think I am a bit hormonal, colleague who has just come back from leave after the baby was born told us at lunch that he told his girlfriend they could get married on 12/12/12 if it was a Wednesday...and it is. I couldn't believe it as that's a date OH suggested. It's so hard to explain without sounding like a bit of a psycho but I was so annoyed - not this guys fault as he didn't know but a year ago I was the only person in a serious relationship out of 3 of us in my office and now one's had a baby and the other is getting married next year!!! This colleague also made a joke about he would get married before I ever did and that stung a little, especially as he has slept with about 3 other girls behind his OH's back and he only stopped when she got pregnant . I am trying to be positive and take some of my own advice about chilling out about it all. Hopefully once I am sorted with my debt then I can talk to OH about our future plans which may set my mind at rest (or not!).
Got lots to do so thought I would do a little list, I normally try and avoid lists as I don't complete them then feel mad at myself but no harm in giving it a whirl this time.
- Sweep hallway and front room
- Clean kitchen sides
- Clean En Suite
- Take tops back for refund
- Sort out pots for posting corals

Although it was probably a bit annoying that Ireland cost more than you thought I think sometimes you just have to go with the flow, the break will have done you the world of good and if you never have any little treats you would soon stray and that would be no good at all!
Fantastic news about your work appraisal and you seem to be doing really well crossing off all the things on your list, I love lists!
I expect it was your hormones causing your low mood, it's tough being female and although your colleague didn't know stealing your thunder with his date it would still be disappointing. Have you decided how you might manage it, stick with the original date or look for a different one? You never know,
judging from his behaviour it might not happen anyway!0 -

Did all the Ebay packing and studied my butt off for a few hours (may have been 5-ish, not too sure!) but not sure i've gotten anywhere other than hi-lighting areas I need to study again :rotfl:. At least I have made a start.
Thanks RP for your comments, I think you are right and it's just a hormonal thing. As soon as he said it my trainee was like 'Didn't Andy suggest that date to you?' (he said that on purpose!) but colleague a*hole didn't care........I think his girlfriend will hold him to it in all honesty! Trouble is, as we aren't engaged we haven't set a date or even seriously talked about it....just that whenever it has come up it's always been December 2012. I don't work closely enough with this guy that I couldn't still do it that month....just that I don't want MY day to be overshadowed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Meh....Que Sera I guess!
It's dark outside.....RUBBISH!
