Ooh EB you may be there just after me then! We go on the 1st to the 5th I think, going to Elveden, hoping it will be nice and relaxing for us but fun for DD!

    Quick figure update:
    • Daily savings needed without DMP payment - £48.29  now £49.01 now £46.48
    • Daily savings needed with DMP payment - £39.70 :(now £40.10 now £37.23
    • Daily savings needed with DMP/Bonus - £16.67 now £16.24 now £12.47
It's going to right way, my current daily savings figure is £7.75 if I get a bonus and some F&F settlement discount, that's totally do-able if not surpassable!

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

    It's all sounding good Jody!

Figures look good Jody, when will you find out about the bonus?

So is step 2 in your sig well under way or are the savings all for step 1?!

How weird! When I tried to change my sig using Internet Explorer it said my sig was too long regardless of me deleting lines....as soon as I use Firefox I can change it no problem!

Anyway, savings totals updated! I just took off what I had already saved to end of September so I have now re-couped the Ireland spend. Bit of a cheat as I got the endowment but it's money all the same :)

  • Hi Jody, how was Ireland? I'm sure you've written about it on here but I will struggle to read what everybody has been doing while I've been away, you all write too much! Sounds like you are doing well with your daily savings!

Ireland was fantastic thanks hun, we had great weather! It was just a little more expensive to eat and drink out there than I had initially planned but fortunately I seem to be back on track :T.

OK, where to start...lots to say!

Had my appraisal at work yesterday...got massively thanked for being the officer organiser (I sorted out our Xmas meal and a collection for colleague who had baby), told I was a highly valued member of the team both in a work and social aspect which was nice. My direct line manager said my work is improving all the time and some of the really technical bank risk work I do was great considering the amount of work it involves. They have a lot of plans for me over the next 3 years which will hopefully see me become a senior finance manager and get rewarded accordingly :). There was a little comment made about me sometimes being 'distracted' :o, I think he was hinting at me being on the net and that's fair enough I guess so I'll try and restict my MSE time to first thing in the morning and lunch. :rotfl:

Ebay is going quite well! I have some bits listed that end this afternoon that have a few bids on but the coral seems to be doing exceptionally well, I just need to pick up some packing tips. Checked change pot this morning and almost have another £15 to go in which is great news. OH's aftershave turned up yesterday too so that's him almost sorted for Xmas. Went to mums last night for dinner, bought her some lovely flowers to say thanks for doing the fish while I was away, they were orange and purple with a mini pumpkin on a stick :D.

Felt quite down yesterday but think I am a bit hormonal, colleague who has just come back from leave after the baby was born told us at lunch that he told his girlfriend they could get married on 12/12/12 if it was a Wednesday...and it is. I couldn't believe it as that's a date OH suggested :(. It's so hard to explain without sounding like a bit of a psycho but I was so annoyed - not this guys fault as he didn't know but a year ago I was the only person in a serious relationship out of 3 of us in my office and now one's had a baby and the other is getting married next year!!! This colleague also made a joke about he would get married before I ever did and that stung a little, especially as he has slept with about 3 other girls behind his OH's back and he only stopped when she got pregnant . I am trying to be positive and take some of my own advice about chilling out about it all. Hopefully once I am sorted with my debt then I can talk to OH about our future plans which may set my mind at rest (or not!).

Got lots to do so thought I would do a little list, I normally try and avoid lists as I don't complete them then feel mad at myself but no harm in giving it a whirl this time :D.

    • Sweep hallway and front room
    • Clean kitchen sides
    • Clean En Suite
    • Take tops back for refund
    • Sort out pots for posting corals
    • Gather newspapers for coral packing - I'm shredding it at work
    • Pay Centreparcs balance off
    • Order Nanny McPhee DVDs for MIL - I offered to do it for OH so I can get the cashback ;)
    • Pack whatever sells on Ebay this afternoon
    • Pack CD's for sending to Music Magpie
    • Do at LEAST 5 hours study for exmas over weekend
    • Mix up new water for Fish
    • Text friends to say Hi
    • Write food shopping list/meal plan so it costs as little as poss!
    • Get rid of buckets of dead rock and sand that have been sitting in living room for an age :o
Phew...that's a long list! I suppose I better get started and I am working tonight....more pennies *yay* :j

Have a great night tonight Woo! I'm leaving for work in about 45 minues :). Just pulled out my Frankie Boyle tickets and it's next weekend, sunday to be precise which is my shift . Mind you, it might help keep my job longer as she wont need 2 of us so saves her some money ;). Managed to sell a bit on Ebay but didn't make loads, mum popped over this afternoon with a suitcase full of stuff out of my old room and there are some more bits I can sell in there :D.

Getting there! Mum also brought over some bubble wrap so I'll do all the packing tomorrow, think it's going to be a busy day as I will do studying then too, phew, so much for two days 'off' :rotfl:
