so you're stalking Hamish instead of discussing the thread "Cameron: House Prices Will "Continue To Rise"I quoted hamish so i could repsond to him not you. Do you think everyone is talking to you if they quote someone else?
it's amazing that David Cameron actually said this
come on Doire you can do it... debate the facts not your obsession with Hamish“Only millionaires should pay inheritance tax,” he said. “I’m absolutely clear on that.
As the economy recovers and as house prices continue to rise you will find people getting caught by the inheritance net that should not be there.”0 -
Dunno why Doiry is arguing,if the falls are that much in Ireland,he should be filling his boots instead of arguing about GB prices on here.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0

I'll post where i want too
Is this forum only open to GB residents? :rotfl: Correct me if im wrong but aren't you the same person who said (a few weeks back) i would be better off picking spuds? Now you dont want an Irishman about the place.
I acutally live in the UK. Not though choice but thats life i suppose. Doire is Derry. Derry is in the UK.0 -

I've seen at close hand how people live in South East Asia, where families are more reliant on each other often having 3 or 4 generations under the onw roof.
It's wasn't that long ago that there was similar in the UK
Just PLEASE tell me that you are not advocating a return to those times (for anyone less deserving than yourself, of course
)? If you are, then I shall happily wield the rifle if someone will find me a wall to stand you against:D "there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -

and yet you don't like it if other people exercise their right to post where they want to.... interesting."I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -
oh dear... rising house prices do make these frothers very angry and unable to be rational...Hamish said he thinks rises are a good thing. i answered his comment with my own view. How is that stalking?

you're proving more and more that you're not intelligent enough to reply to my previous post - let's try again...
let's see if you can put credible post forward instread of irrelevent soundbites...so you're stalking Hamish instead of discussing the thread "Cameron: House Prices Will "Continue To Rise"

I am not advocating that at all.
I was simply showing how things have dramatically changed and that it's still like this and much worse throughout the world.
Taking the point about the broons though.
That one household probably requires 6 to 7 different properties nowadays.
What do you believe is the knock on effect for increasing demand sixfold whilst the supply of properties has not increased by the same ratio?:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

To be fair - Cameron's comments on house prices is not fact, it's speculation.
That said it is an indication that he is not implementing policies which will reduce house prices and that he is happy for them to continue rising.:wall:

thanks ISTL - i was hoping that doire would have been able to come up with an intelligent reply like yours but obviously his low IQ isn't really up to it and is more suited to irrelevent soundbites...IveSeenTheLight wrote: »To be fair - Cameron's comments on house prices is not fact, it's speculation.
